Wildflowers Forest School is located in Waterloo, Ontario. It is situated on approximately 100-acres of land called Bechtel Park. The park is owned and managed by the City of Waterloo. Bechtel Park offers many different types of vegetation, ecosystems, habitats, woodlot, and the Laurel Creek floodplain.
The Forest School Educator is Brandy Schell, owner and operator of Wildflowers Forest School. Brandy holds a Certified Ontario Teacher Certificate, Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree, and Emergency First Aid and CPR certificate. Brandy is working towards her Level 3 Forest School Leader training and will complete in 2016.
Wildflowers Forest School is set up to create conditions that allow children to ask questions and find answers through play and exploration. Children learn through observation, imitation and opportunities to take care of each other and their environment.
