 by Lee Valley Waterloo
9 - 13 yearsRegistration required, Drop-off

Scientists in School (a registered Canadian charity) has partnered with Lee Valley to bring the science of magnets to you and your child. During this workshop, you will learn about how magnets work, make an electromagnet, an electric motor, and learn about Lenz's Law. You will make a "doorbell" to take home. All tools and materials will be provided.

To ensure that everyone gets a hands-on experience, only 6 young scientists and 6 adult lab assistants can participate in each session. The workshops cost $30, with all proceeds going to Scientists in School (a registered Canadian charity) to bring more programming to your community! Spots fill up quickly, so call (519) 746-2555 and book today.
